Custom Sprayers

Farm Services Engineering design and build the ‘Custom Sprayer’ which is a cropspraying machine based on a John Deere 6000 series tractor. We raise the cab 300mm (a fully certified modification), fit stainless steel saddle tanks and mount our own design spray boom to a parallel linkage at the rear.

This format has evolved to meet the needs of the many vegetable growers around Pukekohe, where the steep terrain demands a low centre of gravity, good visibility and excellent maneuverability.

The options of front axle and cab suspension on the 6000 series tractor makes for outstanding performance and operator comfort in field conditions.

We can build machines with tank capacities of 2000, 2500 or 3000 litres with additional clean water tanks, and various boom configurations, all with independent (one side) folding and hydraulic tilt controls. All boom steelwork is zinc hot-wire sprayed prior to painting. All other steelwork is galvanized and tanks are manufactured from stainless steel. Ground clearance is approximately 570mm on rowcrop tyres.

Other optional features include a computerized spray controller, 55 litre stainless steel chemical induction hopper, separate groundfill / agitation pump, ‘dry’ type tank level gauge, twin spraylines etc.
